Key Lime Pie
40 vanilla wafers 1 cup slivered almonds 1/3 cup real butter, melted 6 oz. cream cheese, softened 1/4 cup real butter, softened 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk 1/3 cup lime juice (preferably from Key limes!)
Chop wafers and almonds together. Add melted butter and stir well. Press into a pie plate, covering bottom and sides. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes or until light brown. Cool. Cream cream cheese and remaining butter together, until fluffy. Add sweetened condensed milk and lime juice. Mix well. Pour into pie shell and cover with plastic wrap, refrigerate 4 hours. Garnish with whipped cream and lime wedges if desired.
